- No, one can't. If you understood how CID works, you'd realize that.
-
- : ANYWAYS... with dump on no cid is enabled i guess you couldnt get any
- : long distance callers on your bbs calling from california for the
- : last 6-8 years, what a shame to rule out the millions of people in
- : the entire state of california from calling your bbs.
-
- Wrong again. You have obviously never had CID on your line.

- : since then california is offering cid but thats not officially gunna start
- : till june of this year, i believe. and most people are probably gunna
- : order full time blocking anyway, so there hafto use some * code to
- : unblock it to call you. what a big inconvience
-
- A blocked call gives a different code than a long distance non-identified
- call.
-
- I ran a board and had CID on my primary line using a ZyXel modem and then
- a Supra. All LD callers got through no problem, only those blocking CID
- got dumped... along with the twits who would try to call in under several
- different names from the same number. Also one jerk who called in from
- several different numbers (he took a little while to control but I
- eventually did).
-
- Learn about CID and how it works before you make any more statements
- about what can and can't be done.
